Atlanta Craft Beer and HomeBrewing Resources

Atlanta Craft Beer and HomeBrewing Resources

Since moving to the other side of town, I’ve really taken notice of all the Atlanta Craft Beer and HomeBrewing shops that are around town. I’ll try to keep this page updated with what I know.

If you have information about Atlanta Craft Beer and Homebrewing that I’ve left off, please let me know.  Likewise, if something changes (like a shop going out of business) let me know.

Craft Beer

Craft beer has taken off just about everywhere in the U.S and Atlanta is no exception. Here are some places you can find some in and around Atlanta.

Ale Yeah! Craft Beer Market

Craft beer in bottles and in growlers.  Two locations to server you:

906 W College Ave
Decatur, GA 30030
408 S. Atlanta St. #157
Roswell, GA 30075

The Beer Growler

Actually, I haven’t been inside the store yet, but I will probably go this week. I think it’s just Growlers.  They have tons of beer and even soda on tap. They also sell other craft beer by the 4pk or 6pk. Neat place! They update their Facebook page with new beers and the selection sounds fine to me! Four locations to server you:

38A North Avondale Road
Avondale Estates GA 30002
4140 Moore Road Suite B-116
Suwanee GA 30024
865 North Main Street Suite 106
Alpharetta GA 30004
1418 Dresden Drive
Brookhaven GA 30319
3000 Old Alabama Road
John’s Creek GA 30022

Sandy Springs coming soon!

Moondog Growlers

I’ve not been here but surprised I haven’t heard of them since they have so many locations. They have an online menu of what’s available.

6690 Roswell Rd, Suite 310

Atlanta Breweries

Red Brick Brewery

One of the most well known Atlanta Breweries. They give tours!

2323 Defoor Hills Road
Atlanta, GA 30318

Sweet Water Brewery

A classic! They used to have the old Mindspring logo on the label, back in the day. They also give tours.

195 Ottley Drive,
Atlanta , Georgia 30324

Red Hare Brewery

Pretty new to the Atlanta Brewery scene. They have a nice Facebook and I noticed they are on tap at The Growler.

1998 Delk Industrial Boulevard

Wine Craft of Atlanta

This is a great homebrew supply shop.  Literally Mom & Pop, (rumor has it they just sold it). Super helpful, great selections. They sell wine, beer, and cheese making supplies. How cool is that!

5920 Roswell Road, C-205
Sandy Springs, Georgia 30328
(404) 252-5606

The Brew Depot

Another Atlanta homebrew supply shop. I’ve never been there but since I live in the area, no doubt I will check it out. Rumor has it, it’s best to order online to pick up in the store.  Also they do CO2 exchanges here.

10595 Old Alabama Rd Connector
Alpharetta, GA 30022

Hop City

Wow, they have it all! Craft beer, Growlers, and homebrew supplies in Atlanta, (and in Alabama). I haven’t been there in a long time but they were one of the first craft beer stores in Atlanta.

1000 Marietta St., Suite 302
Atlanta, GA 30318

The BrewMasters Warehouse

I’ve not been here but heard good things about it.  They appear to have a pretty good website.

2145 Roswell Rd. Suite 320
Marietta, GA 30062

I’ve been to Brewmaster’s a few times and liked it. Very helpful – the recipe builder software is pretty nifty; they have 100s of recipes or you can create your own, and they’ll bag up the ingredients while you wait!
